Hi there!
Welcome to High Five Acres, a small
farm located in Dalmatia, PA, forty miles north of Harrisburg. We are currently breeding and raising American
Quarter Horses & Paints. This year we have had three APHA foals by Reflecting Merle, a B/W overo APHA. High Five Acres is
dedicated to the care and quality of our animals. Please browse the site to learn more about who we are and what
we do! Some pages are still under construction but we hope to have them up and running soon. One of these days we will
get everything up and running! Feel free to contact
us using the link at the bottom of the page with any questions or comments about this site or anything else. This
site is dedicated to our beloved cat, Garfield, who passed away June 27, 2001, and to the first pony that ever
trotted into our hearts and barn, Champ( ? - 02/2004). We miss you guys.
Ima Skippin Chic 1996 sorrel Quarter horse mare.
She has been with us since she was a yearling. Skippy now stands at 15.3hh and weighs in over 1100lbs. She is well
broke for trails, but has gamed and done a little jumping (Nothing fancy!!) She really seems to prefer the trail over
anything. She has been ridden english and western with a hackamore or halter. Since she is unshod, we prefer to ride
her with easy boots (which I highly recommend to anyone with trail horses!!!) She hasn't been under saddle very
recently, but even when she is pastured for several months, we can just saddle her up and go without a problem.
In 2001 Skippy was bred with a palomino QH stud, Cody Sophistic Bars and produced a carbon copy of herself.
You can see pics of her first born by clicking on the link for Foals or looking at Skippy's pedigree page.
In 2004, Skippy produced a huge palomino filly by a gorgeous Cremello foundation QH named Vannie Glo
Lucky out of Bloomsburg, PA. You can visit his website by clicking the link in the section marked Stallions of Note.
This year, Skippy produced a jet black colt by Reflecting Merle, a black and white overo stallion from Annville, PA.
For the first time, Skippy foaled in the middle of the afternoon on 4/16/08 (right as I had to leave for work!!). It was
quite the shock, but at least we were there to make sure everything went ok! Skippy will always remain the love of my life!! Click the link above to take a peek at Skippy and her pedigree.
Colby's Sweet Joleen has indeed been the sweetest addition to
our farm. She is a 2000 sorrel breeding stock paint mare. Colby carries the sabino gene which is obvious through
the coon striping on her tail, heavy white ticking on her flanks and white speckles between her butt cheeks. She
came to our farm in 2001 from Thompson, PA. She stands at a mere 14.2, but she makes up for it with a huge personality.
Her dispostion is absolutely wonderful. She leads, loads, hauls, clips, ties and does pretty much whatever
you ask her to do. Colby was lightly started under saddle, but due foundering several years ago, we feel that it
is best to leave her as a broodmare. We are considering starting her slowly again, but only time will tell. She is a
wonderful mother, though predicting when she is about to foal has been difficult. She is everyone's favorite here on
the farm! Colby was bred in 2003 to the Cremello stud, Vannie Glo Lucky and produced a gorgeous palomino colt. This
past spring, Colby was bred to Reflecting Merle, a black and white overo stallion from Annville, PA. Congrats, Colby!
4/1/08 in the middle of the afternoon (again!!) Colby foaled an adorable black filly with three socks and a blaze! See
her page for some pics! We are most definitely looking forward to getting many more beautiful foals out of her.

Stars Straw Baby is a 1991 sorrel QH mare. She stands at 15 hands and is built
like a little brick house!! Sassy (as we like to call her...) is the newest addition to our farm. She came to
us in 2006. Like our other two mares, she's got 3 socks and a blaze. She has quite a personality and loves to get
her butt scratched. We have worked her under saddle several times and she has alot of spunk. After several attempts with
different bits that were suggested, we went back to the tried and true sidepull and she was a different horse.
Now she is fabulous on the trails, no head tossing or pulling at all. Sassy was also bred to Reflecting Merle,
a black and white overo stallion from Annville, PA. On 4/17/08, she threw an adorable little bay colt with four socks and a blaze.

Cat's Eternal Flame 2008 Black
APHA filly.
She is black with three socks and a blaze. She has quite a personality! She loves people and really begs for
attention. Check back as we will be posting more info and pics of Kitty as we get to know her. Click on her
name above for pictures & pedigree.
Poco Ima Diamond 2008 Black APHA colt.
Pokey is the best quality of the three foals this year. He is incredibly muscled and really well put together. Though
a little harder to handle than the other two, he learns quickly and is very willing to please!
Both he and Sunny have been sold to the same farm and I look forward to visiting them often at their new home! Click on his name

Sweet Irish Sunrise 2008 Bay APHA colt.
Sunny is an absolute doll! He just loves to be scratched and petted and follows us around like a puppy. What
he lacks in conforamtion, he makes up for three fold in attitude.
He is going to be an excellent family horse and trustworthy under saddle!
Both he and Pokey have been sold to the same farm and I look forward to visiting them often at their new home!

STALLIONS OF NOTE!
If you or anyone you know are looking for a stud to breed to, you should definitely consider the
studs that I have gotten foals from. Reflecting Merle is a B/W overo APHA stallion with an exceptional temperment.
Click his link above to see a pedigree and a few pics of his offspring. His owner, Michelle, has done excellent work
training him! We have bred all three of our mares to him last spring. So far he has produced only black, bay and black
and white foals. To visit Merle and Michelle's web site, click here.
Vannie Glo Lucky, a cremello foundation QH, has got a great temperment, and he produces fantastic babies! If you are
looking for a foal to show at halter or raise to cut, he is your stud! He also comes with a 100% color guarantee! To
visit his site, click here. Shiloh McCue
is another beauty of a stud. This homozygous B/W Paint stud produces color galore! There are tons of pics of his
offspring on his website. To visit his site, click here.
